My advertisement is for a neighborhood garage sale. The look I was going for was a traditional for sale/ garage sale sign. I used a bright red background to attract attention, then placed three red rectangles and one black rectangle to add information. I tried using the rule of thirds two ways in this ad, both by having three boxes tall as well as dividing the bottom row into thirds. The font used for the heading was picked to mimic a garage sale sign that someone may make themselves, creating images of garage sales immediately. The other font was chosen to give the adverisement some style while remaining readable.
All needed information is included as well as two short sentences inviting people to show up. The middle row includes pictures of what will be at the garage sale. I tried to keep the pictures balanced, but still fun. However, after looking back on the design I am not satisfied with the picture portion of it. I believe there should be only three pictures spaced evenly along the row.
