Cd Cover

front

My cd cover was meant to look classy while still having a modern edge. I did this on both the front and back using different design techniques. One way I created a classy look is the use of a script font, which is used throughout the cover to maintain a consistent feel. I used only black and white on the front to give a classy but also modern feel. The background of the clocks on the front was made transparent using Photoshop's magic wand. The front also has a circular gradient to tie it in with the back cover which uses shadows and circles.

back

I used a feathered rectangle on the back cover to highlight all of the track listings. This feathering on both the track listings and bar code make the design look much more visibly appealing. I used Photoshop to create my own record company logo, which contains gradients, shadows and layers. The copyright symbol was added using the insert character feature in In Design. For the back cover I used the rule of thirds, putting a rectang;e that takes up two thirds and having the other third relatively empty. I think this is the best part of the design and really makes it look appealing.
